When Amazon Has Sales, Month by Month
Amazon runs three big US sale events a year: in 2026 Prime Day ran June 23 to 26 and Prime Big Deal Days October 6 to 7; Black Friday comes in late November.

Sale dates change every year. This is a summary in our own words of Amazon's own press releases and newsroom pages, read on October 26, 2026. Amazon's announcements are the ones that apply; check them before you plan a purchase around a date.
The three big events
Amazon's US calendar is built around three large deal events. Two of them are for Prime members only.

Prime Day
Amazon's press release of June 1, 2026 set Prime Day for June 23 at 12:01 a.m. PDT through June 26, four days in all. It ran in June in the US, Canada, the UK and 19 other countries. Amazon said Prime members in Australia, Brazil, India and Japan would get their Prime Day later in the summer.
During the event, Amazon released a batch of Today's Big Deals three times a day, at midnight, 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Pacific time, each while supplies last.
Prime Big Deal Days in October
The fall event is shorter. Amazon's FAQ page lists Prime Big Deal Days 2026 as 48 hours: from 12:01 a.m. PDT on Tuesday, October 6 to 11:59 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, October 7. Amazon says Prime members in 22 countries could shop it, with dates that may differ by country. The same three daily drops of Today's Big Deals applied.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday
Amazon's recent Black Friday press releases do not limit the deals to Prime members. The event has started the week before Thanksgiving and run through Cyber Monday:

Amazon announced those dates on November 12, 2024 and November 9, 2025. When we checked on October 26, 2026, its newsroom had not yet posted 2026 dates, so watch for an announcement in early November.
How to get ready for a sale
- Join Prime only if you need it. Prime Day and Prime Big Deal Days deals require a membership. Amazon lists Prime at $14.99 a month or $139 a year, with a free 30-day trial for eligible customers.
- Save items to a list. Amazon says items on your Wish List can trigger deal and price-drop alerts once an event starts.
- Look at the price history. Amazon's FAQ says the Price History link on product pages shows up to 365 days of prices, so you can see if a sale price is really low.
- Watch for limited stock. Today's Big Deals end when they sell out.
