Home Depot's announcements and the prices shown on homedepot.com are the ones that apply; check them before you plan a purchase around a date.

Spring: the biggest sale stretch for outdoor projects
The first 2026 sale event in Home Depot's newsroom is a spring one. The Spring Starts event ran in stores, on homedepot.com and in the app from March 19 to April 1, while supplies lasted. The press release named deals on garden soil, mulch, lawn mowers, pressure washers, grills and patio dining sets.
Right after it, Spring Black Friday returned from April 9 to 22. The name borrows from the November shopping day, but the dates fall in April, when many people start yard work. If you need a mower, a grill or patio furniture, these two spring windows are the dates Home Depot itself put on the calendar.
Fall and Black Friday
In its September 29, 2026 announcement, Home Depot said holiday decor rolls out in stores starting the week of October 5, with fresh cut trees coming to stores in November. Gift savings start October 29 and last through the season, covering power tools, smart home products and entertaining essentials.
For Black Friday itself, Home Depot's 2026 holiday hours list Friday, November 27, with stores opening at 6 a.m. Stores are closed on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26. The website and app take orders on both days.
How to use the calendar
- Big outdoor buys: plan around the spring events in March and April.
- Tools as gifts: watch for holiday gift savings from late October.
- Holiday decor: the full collection lands in early October, so the widest choice is at the start of the season.
- Check the price on the day. A press release names the event and its dates, not the price of every item. Sale prices, quantities and limits show on the product page.
Before you shop
Sale dates for 2027 are not out yet. Home Depot announced its 2026 events through its newsroom and investor relations site; the Spring Starts release came out on March 17, two days before the event began. Store hours on sale days can differ by location, so check your store page as well; our Home Depot store hours page lists the 2026 holiday schedule.
