Home Depot Financing: Credit Card, Loan and Lease
Home Depot financing runs through its credit cards, a project loan and a lease-to-own option; the credit card page lists the terms, offers and phone lines.

The short answer
Home Depot offers pay-over-time options through its credit card services page. The main ones are a store credit card with 6-month financing, longer financing on some installed services, a project loan, a lease-to-own option, and business accounts with early-pay terms.
Consumer credit card: 6-month financing
The Home Depot Consumer Credit Card carries 6-month everyday financing on storewide purchases of $299 or more. The page says there is no interest if the purchase is paid in full within 6 months. If it is not, interest is charged from the purchase date. The page lists an APR range of 17.99% to 29.99%, a minimum interest charge of $2, and says approval is needed.
Installed services: longer promotions
During special promotions, the page lists longer financing on qualifying installed services with the consumer card:
- 12-month financing on installed HVAC, windows (on purchases of $6,000 or more), and water treatment purchases of $299 or more.
- Up to 24-month financing on special order blinds, shades, shutters and custom closets.
The page calls these current offers.
Project loan
The project loan is powered by Bread Pay. According to the page, a purchase of at least $50 is required, and the purchase window ends 6 months after the first purchase. A down payment may be required, and approval depends on credit. The page's example is a 9.99% APR, which gives 120 monthly payments of $13.21 per $1,000 borrowed.
Lease-to-own
The page lists a lease-to-own option through Koalafi, for the lease product only. Applying causes a soft inquiry on Experian. Signing causes a hard inquiry on Clarity and DataX. The page says neither affects your FICO score. The lease has an early purchase option, often within a promotional period of 90 days; the page says this varies by store and state, and that California leases have a minimum 92-day early purchase option. You must make every payment on time to stay eligible for the promotional period.
Pro Xtra and commercial accounts
- Pro Xtra Credit Card: every $1 of qualifying purchases counts as $4 toward Perks, up to $1,000,000 in qualifying purchases within a program period. The first Perk requires qualifying purchases above $2,500.
- Commercial Account: a 2% early pay discount applies to the purchase subtotal, excluding sales tax, on invoices paid online within 20 days, or you get 60 days to pay.
The 4x rule does not apply to the Commercial Account.
New account offer
The page lists a new-account offer valid through 1/27/2027: save up to $100 on your first purchase within 30 days of opening the account. The amount depends on the receipt total: $25 off $25 to $299, $50 off $300 to $999, or $100 off $1,000 or more. The offer excludes prior purchases, gift cards, installation products or services bought in the home, and Tool Rental. It is one use per transaction and cannot be combined with other discounts.

The credit card page does not describe a layaway program, so this article does not describe one.
How we count
Every figure and rule here comes from the Home Depot credit card services page, read on 2026-10-26. No figure was calculated. Rates, offers and dates may change; the card or loan agreement sets the final terms.
