Newegg Return Policy, Explained
Newegg gives 30 days on most products and 15 days on laptops, monitors and other categories, with a 15% restocking fee on some opened parts.

Store policies change. This is a summary in our own words of the Return policy article in Newegg's Knowledge Base, read on October 27, 2026. The official article is the one that applies, and Newegg says the Warranty and Returns tab on each product page holds that item's own return policy, so check both before you send anything back.
Who the policy covers
Newegg says its return policy applies to everything sold on Newegg, whether Newegg sells and ships the item or a third-party Marketplace Seller does. Marketplace Sellers may add their own terms, which you can read on the seller's profile.

Only the Refreshed row says when the clock starts (the delivery date). The article also lists server systems under both 15 days and manufacturer warranty only. For these cases, the product page shows the exact terms.
Final sale and non-returnable items get no refund or replacement, though the manufacturer's warranty may still help. If one of them arrives damaged or defective, Newegg says to contact Customer Service within 15 days of delivery to ask for a replacement.
Restocking fees
Newegg says a 15% restocking fee may apply when these categories come back opened:
- Hard drives
- Motherboards
- Graphics cards
- Projectors
- Televisions
New, unopened returns carry no restocking fee, and neither do products that arrived damaged or defective.

The free label rule applies to items sold by Newegg and by Marketplace Sellers.
Refunds, store credit and replacements
Newegg asks you to allow 2 business days to process a return after it arrives, for both Newegg and Marketplace orders, and sends an email when that is done.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method. If that method no longer works, Newegg mails a check to your billing address. Items bought as gifts are refunded as store credit. Any part paid with a Newegg gift card goes back to that card.
- Store credit comes as a Newegg Store Credit Gift Card by email, about 1 to 2 business days after processing.
- Replacements ship about 1 to 2 business days after processing, and only for the same product. Newegg does not swap one product for a different one. If the item is out of stock or no longer carried, you get a refund instead.
