Newegg Price Match Policy, Explained
Newegg matches only its own lower price on the same item within 7 days of purchase, paid as a Customer Care card, and does not match Amazon or other stores.

Store policies change. This is a summary in our own words of Newegg's Price Match article in its Knowledge Base, read on October 26, 2026. The official page is the one that applies, and Newegg says it can change or end the policy at any time.
Does Newegg price match?
Yes, but only against itself. Newegg's policy covers a price drop on Newegg.com after you buy. It does not match prices at other stores, so a lower price at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart or Target does not count, and neither does a manufacturer's own website.
How it works
- Buy an eligible item that is sold and shipped by Newegg on Newegg.com.
- If the same item gets cheaper on Newegg.com within 7 calendar days of your purchase, you can ask for the difference.
- Contact Newegg Customer Service to make the request. The help center lists live chat 7 days a week, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific time.
If Newegg approves it, you do not get money back on your card. The difference comes as a Newegg Customer Care card that works on Newegg.com or the Newegg app for 365 days from the day it is issued.
What qualifies

The lower price is checked by Newegg before any credit is given.
What is excluded
Newegg lists a long set of exclusions. A price match is not available for:
- Prices on other retailers' sites or manufacturer sites
- Prices from Marketplace sellers on Newegg.com
- Requests made more than 7 calendar days after purchase
- Items given free, or tied to a rebate, coupon, promotional gift card or promotional credit
- Bundle and financing offers, and clearance or closeout items
- Combo deals, unless the full combo listing itself drops in price
- Items out of stock, not ready to ship right away, or sold in limited quantities
- Open box and refurbished items
- Add-on services such as extended warranties or installation
- Prices caused by a typo
- Major holiday sale prices, including FantasTech, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Doorbusters and Shell Shocker deals
Tips before you ask
- Save the order number and note the date: the 7-day window is short.
- Check the seller line on the product page. Only items sold and shipped by Newegg qualify.
- If the drop is during a big sale event, expect a no; those prices are excluded.
- A return is a separate question. Newegg's return policy has its own windows by product type, shown on the Warranty and Returns tab of each product page.
