Old Navy Price Adjustment, as Reported
Shopping guides report a one-time Old Navy price adjustment within 14 days of purchase; Old Navy's own page could not be read, so confirm first.

Store policies change. Old Navy's own customer service pages did not load for us on October 26, 2026 (the site returned an access denied page), so this page could not be checked against the official policy. What follows is how recent shopping guides describe it, in our own words. Confirm with Old Navy customer service or a store associate before you count on an adjustment.
What a price adjustment is
A price adjustment means you get back the difference when something you already bought is marked down. It is not the same as a price match: the guides below describe Old Navy adjusting to its own lower price, not to another store's.
The rules as reported
Two shopping guides updated in 2025 describe the same core rule, and an older 2024 guide from one of them adds detail that agrees:
| Rule | As reported |
|---|---|
| Time limit | Price drops within 14 days (two weeks) of purchase |
| How often | One adjustment per item |
| Promo code purchases | Not eligible, except free shipping codes |
| Clearance | Excluded, according to Rather-Be-Shopping |
| Final sale items | Excluded, according to The Krazy Coupon Lady (2024) |
| Proof | Keep your receipt or order number |
Rather-Be-Shopping (updated February 17, 2025) describes a one-time adjustment within 14 days, with clearance items and items bought with a coupon code left out, unless the code was only for free shipping. The Krazy Coupon Lady's Old Navy return policy guide (updated July 19, 2025) says you can ask for an adjustment if an item goes on sale within two weeks. Its earlier price adjustment guide (updated January 12, 2024) gives the same 14 days, one adjustment per item, and the same promo code exclusion.
How to ask
The guides agree you need to contact Old Navy within the window. The 2024 Krazy Coupon Lady guide says store purchases are handled at a store with the receipt, and that online orders go through Old Navy customer service rather than a store. Have your order number ready for an online order.
Gap and other sister brands
Gap, Banana Republic and Athleta belong to the same company as Old Navy, but none of the guides we read describe their price adjustment rules, and their sites were also blocked for us. Do not assume a Gap price adjustment works the same way; check with Gap directly.
Tips to get the difference
- Keep receipts and order emails for at least two weeks after a purchase.
- Check prices again before the 14 days run out.
- If you used a percent-off code, expect no adjustment on that item.
- Ask customer service to confirm the current rules, since this page relies on third-party reports.
