Sephora Beauty Insider Tiers and Rouge, Explained
Sephora Beauty Insider is free to join, with VIB at $350 and Rouge at $1,000 of yearly spending unlocking bigger discounts and extra rewards.

The three tiers
Beauty Insider is Sephora's loyalty program. It has three tiers, and the tier you reach depends on how much you spend at Sephora in a year.

What every member gets
The benefits chart on the page marks these for all three tiers:
- A free birthday gift set (online, it needs a $25 order to redeem)
- Free shipping with no minimum
- At least 1 point for every $1 spent
- $10 in Beauty Insider Cash for 500 points, redeemed at checkout
- Access to the Rewards Bazaar, where points buy samples and brand rewards
- Gift with purchase sample bags
- The option to buy Same-Day Unlimited Delivery for $49 plus tax per year
Where the tiers differ

The $100 Rouge Reward is exchanged in the Rewards Bazaar online. The $20 Beauty Insider Cash option is redeemed at checkout like the $10 one.
How Rouge points stretch further
For a Rouge member, the chart lists three ways to use points:
- 500 points for $10 in Beauty Insider Cash
- 1,000 points for $20 in Beauty Insider Cash
- 2,500 points for a $100 Rouge Reward
By simple arithmetic, the first two work out to 2 cents of value per point, and the Rouge Reward works out to 4 cents per point. Saving points for the larger reward gets more out of them, if you reach Rouge and use the reward.
The Sephora credit card
The page also promotes the Sephora Credit Card. Cardmembers who use it at Sephora get 4% back in credit card rewards plus 4% back in Beauty Insider Cash, which Sephora describes as 2 points per $1, for a combined 8% back. That is a card offer with its own terms and approval, not part of the free program.
Tips for using the program
- Check which tier you are in before a Savings Event, since the discount rises with the tier.
- Plan larger purchases around Point Multiplier Events if you want more points.
- Remember that the $25 minimum for the birthday gift is tied to online redemption.
- Read the terms for how the yearly spending for VIB and Rouge is counted before you rely on keeping a tier.
