Programs change. This is a summary in our own words of Target's Target Circle help pages and its Circle Card and Circle 360 pages, read on October 26, 2026. The official terms are the ones that apply.

Three parts, one name

Target Circle is Target's loyalty program, and Target splits it into three options you can use alone or together:

OptionCostWhat it is
Target CircleFreeDeals and rewards when you identify yourself at checkout
Target Circle CardNo annual or monthly feeA credit or debit card with 5% off at Target
Target Circle 360$99 a year or $10.99 a monthA paid membership for delivery and extras

Target Circle (free)

You join at Target.com/circle or in the Target app; no card is needed. Members get deals applied automatically at checkout, personalized deals, Target Circle Rewards from completing bonuses, a vote per qualifying purchase to steer Target's local giving, and a birthday reward such as 5% off a purchase, valid for 30 days. In store, enter your phone number at checkout or scan the barcode in the app's Wallet tab.

Target has dropped the old 1% earnings on every purchase; amounts already earned stay usable until they expire. Rewards expire if you neither earn nor redeem any for a year.

Target Circle Card

The card comes as a credit card (Target Circle Credit Card or Target Mastercard, approval required, issued by TD Bank, USA) or a debit card linked to your checking account, with no credit check. Main benefits:

  • 5% off at Target, in store and online, on top of Target Circle deals.
  • Free 2-day shipping on many Target.com items.
  • An extra 30 days for returns and exchanges.
  • Circle 360 at $49 a year or $4.99 a month instead of the regular price.
  • Debit only: up to $40 cash back at checkout.
  • Target Mastercard only: 2% on dining and gas and 1% elsewhere outside Target.

On October 26, 2026 the card page also offered $50 in Target Circle Rewards for new credit card holders who spend $50 on qualifying purchases within 60 days of approval.

Target Circle 360: is it worth it?

Circle 360 adds unlimited same-day delivery on orders over $35 from Target and other local stores through Shipt, free 2-day shipping, an extra 30 days for returns and a monthly freebie chosen on the first of each month. There is a 14-day free trial.

The math rests on delivery. Without 360, Target charges a $9.99 delivery fee per same-day order over $35. At the $99 annual price, about 10 same-day orders a year cover the fee; at the $49 Circle Card price, about 5. Target's own example of saving over $300 a year assumes two same-day orders a month plus a Shipt membership. If you rarely order same-day delivery, the free Target Circle and the card cover most of the savings.

Verified teachers, military members, college students and government assistance recipients also get the $49 or $4.99 price.
