Walgreens Senior Discount and Seniors Day, Explained
Walgreens Seniors Day gives myWalgreens members 55 and older a discount in store on the first Tuesday of each month, with an online code around it.

Does Walgreens have a senior discount?
Yes, once a month. Walgreens calls it Seniors Day. It is for myWalgreens members aged 55 or older, and the membership is free to join. In stores, the discount runs on the first Tuesday of each month, though Walgreens notes the date can move because of a holiday. Staff may ask for proof of age.

The most recent Seniors Day
When we read the page, it still showed the October event. Members could take 20% off eligible regular-price items in store on October 6, 2026, or online from October 4 to October 10, 2026 with the code SENIOR20. Walgreens also held Seniors Day flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics in its stores on October 6, during regular pharmacy hours.
The page did not yet list the November offer. If the first Tuesday pattern holds, the next Seniors Day would be Tuesday, November 3, 2026, but check the page closer to the date, since Walgreens can move it and the discount can change.
What the discount does not cover in store
The store offer excludes a long list of items, including:
- Prescriptions, pharmacy items and services, clinic services and anything billed to insurance
- Alcohol, tobacco, dairy, lottery tickets, stamps, newspapers and magazines
- Gift cards, money orders and transfers, transportation passes and charitable donations
- Products with pseudoephedrine or ephedrine, and sales tax
It also cannot be combined with Buy 1 Get 1 FREE, Buy 1 Get 1 50% OFF or Buy 2 Get 1 FREE deals. Walgreens suggests clipping digital coupons and rewards to use alongside the discount.
Rules for the online code
The online code works only on Walgreens.com while you are signed in. It is good once per order and once per account, on regular-price items, and cannot be combined with another promo code. The October terms excluded electronics, pharmacy and photo orders, gift cards, Deals of the Week, Philips Sonicare and Philips Norelco products, select luxury beauty brands and several other brands, plus taxes and shipping. Orders had to be in by 11:59 pm Central time on the last day.
How to use it
- Join myWalgreens for free online, in the app or in a store, and add your details.
- In store: shop on the first Tuesday and give your myWalgreens information at checkout. Bring an ID in case staff ask your age.
- Online: sign in, add eligible regular-price items and enter that month's code at checkout.
