Wayfair Rewards Membership, Explained
Wayfair Rewards costs $29 a year and pays 5% back in Reward Dollars plus free standard shipping with no minimum; Wayfair cardholders get it free and earn 7%.

What it costs
Wayfair Rewards is a paid membership: $29 a year, renewed automatically on the anniversary of the day you joined. You can also get it free by opening a Wayfair credit card or Wayfair Mastercard, subject to credit approval. Wayfair says the fee is not refunded outside its standard cancellation window right after the order. Membership is for US residents aged 18 or older and is not available to Wayfair Professional business accounts.

The 7% replaces the 5%; the two do not add up. Rewards and perks work across Wayfair's family of brands: Wayfair, AllModern, Birch Lane, Joss & Main and Perigold, online, in the apps and in their stores, but not at outlet stores.
Free shipping does not reach Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, PO boxes or military addresses, and it does not cover upgraded delivery options or return shipping. You must be signed in for it to apply.
What earns Reward Dollars
Physical merchandise earns. Wayfair lists what does not: gift cards, sales tax, shipping fees, donations, outlet store purchases, the Porch restaurant, the membership fee and services such as installation, assembly and extended warranties. Rewards are figured on the price after discounts and before tax and shipping.
Reward Dollars post within 48 hours of an item shipping, or at purchase in a store. In a store, scan the QR code from your account (My In-Store Code) to earn.
How to spend them
- One Reward Dollar takes $1 off a later order at any of the five brands.
- They do not apply on their own: click Apply in the cart or at checkout. Your whole balance is used, up to the order total.
- You can save up and pay for a whole item, and combine them with most promotions.
- The limit is $2,500 redeemed per month.
- They have no cash value and cannot buy gift cards.
When you lose them
Reward Dollars do not expire while your membership is active. If the membership lapses, for example after a failed renewal payment, you lose the balance. If you cancel, you keep everything until the next renewal date, then the balance expires. If you return an item, the rewards it earned are taken back, which can leave a negative balance.
Holiday return perk for 2026
From September 9 through December 31, 2026, active members can return up to 5 eligible items per membership year without paying the return shipping fee, in exchange for Wayfair store credit. Financing purchases and some categories are excluded, and pickup fees are not covered.
Is it worth $29
At 5% back, the fee is covered once your qualifying spending reaches $580 in a year ($29 divided by 5%), before counting free shipping. Wayfair cardholders pay nothing for membership.
