Store policies change. This is a summary in our own words of Costco's customer service answers on shipping, grocery delivery and in-home delivery, read on October 26, 2026. The official pages are the ones that apply; check them before you order.

How long Costco delivery takes

Costco does not publish one delivery time for all of Costco.com. Each item's estimate sits on its product page, in the Shipping and Returns tab about halfway down. You get an email when you order and another with tracking when the item ships.

Costco.com shipping methods

The method is usually set by the item, not chosen by you.

MethodWhat happens
StandardUPS, FedEx or USPS; shipping is included on most items
Standard, no appointmentA freight carrier leaves the item near your front door, no signature
CurbsideFreight delivery to your driveway, on a day you pick
ThresholdBrought to the first dry area, such as the garage or just inside the door
Room of choiceFurniture and bulky items placed in the room you choose
White gloveDelivered, unpacked, set up and inspected, packaging removed

If you pick express shipping where it is offered, Costco adds a shipping and handling fee shown at checkout. The appointment methods need a signature.

Costco 2-Day Delivery for groceries

In select markets, members can order non-perishable grocery items tagged 2-Day Delivery. Each tagged item carries a $3 delivery charge, and the charge drops away once the grocery order reaches $75 before tax. One grocery order goes to one address. Costco says delivered grocery prices are slightly higher than typical warehouse prices because of packaging and delivery, and grocery orders are not price matched to warehouse prices. Same-day delivery of fresh groceries is a separate service run by Instacart.

Costco appliance delivery

For appliances, Costco says delivery and connection to existing, compatible utilities may be included in the price. Dishwasher and gas hookups may not be offered where local codes prevent it; enter your ZIP code and check Services at checkout. Your home needs working gas, electric and water lines with shut-off valves, or the installer cannot finish.

Large items handled by Costco Logistics follow these steps:

  1. When the item reaches your local delivery center, you get a scheduling email with tracking and order numbers.
  2. You pick a date on the Costco Logistics scheduling site.
  3. The night before, an automated call gives you a two-hour delivery window, or four hours for an installation.
  4. A window cannot be changed once set, but you can move the order to another day.

Haul Away, in select areas, takes an old appliance or mattress when the new one arrives, one for one. Installed and commercial items are not eligible.

Where Costco ships

Costco.com ships only within the United States: not to PO boxes, hotels, APO or FPO addresses, freight forwarders or international addresses. Some items can go to Alaska and Hawaii with extra charges shown at checkout.
