Store policies change. This is a summary in our own words of Costco's customer service answers on in-home delivery and installation and its installed products page, read on October 26, 2026. The official pages are the ones that apply; check the product page and checkout for your order.

Appliance installation

Costco lists built-in items such as dishwashers, wall ovens, microhoods and range hoods, plus gas ranges, dryers and stoves, as In-Home Installation products. For appliances in general, Costco says delivery and connection to existing, compatible utilities may be included in the price. Two limits apply:

  • Dishwasher and gas hookups may not be offered where local codes prevent it. Enter your ZIP code and check Services at checkout.
  • Your home must already have gas, electric and water lines with shut-off valves and no leaks, or the installer cannot finish the job.

Installations get a four-hour arrival window, confirmed by the installer the night before, and the installer calls about 30 minutes ahead.

What the delivery crew assembles

For freight items delivered by Costco Logistics, Costco's non-appliance guidelines say what the crew will set up. Some examples:

  • Furniture and sofas: placed in your room and assembled where it applies, legs attached, packing removed. Ready-to-assemble furniture is not assembled.
  • Fitness equipment and game tables: unpacked, assembled to the maker's instructions and cleaned up.
  • Grills: placed and assembled, but not tested or connected to propane.
  • TVs: a basic setup can be added at checkout: stand attached, power and one video source connected, and the set turned on.
  • Adjustable bases: set up and tested, but the crew will not program a remote or pair an app.

Across all items, the crew does no carpentry, electrical or plumbing work, does not lift items over railings or pass them through windows, and does not mount things to walls or ceilings.

Hot tub installation

Costco's US delivery and installation guidelines do not list hot tubs or spas, and its installation answer does not name them. For a hot tub, the product page is the place to see how it is delivered and whether any setup is included. Electrical work is outside what the Costco Logistics crew does on any item.

Installed home projects

Costco's installed products page lists partner programs, including Shaw flooring, Graber window treatments, Closetfactory storage, Amarr garage doors with LiftMaster openers, Generac standby generators, Lennox heating and cooling and EcoWater water systems. Costco says these start with a free estimate, and the partner's consultants and installers handle design through installation.

Paying for installation

Costco Wallet cannot pay for home installation services directly. Costco says wallet funds can buy Shop Cards, up to $2,000 each, which can then be used for the installation.
