What follows is as reported by two recent news articles: The Takeout (March 2026) and Mashed (February 2026, republished by AOL). Both draw mostly on comments from shoppers and people who say they work at Costco. Treat it as a pattern, not a rule, and ask your own warehouse to confirm.
What day does Costco restock?
According to both articles, there is no single restock day. They report that Costco warehouses restock every day, including at night while the doors are closed, and that trucks with new goods arrive daily. A commenter quoted by The Takeout, who appears to work at Costco, put it this way: the store gets whatever is sent, with no set dates.
Why there is no fixed schedule
Both articles tie this to how Costco orders goods. As they describe it, managers or regional office staff order replacements as items sell, and the orders are filled through Costco's regional depots or logistics centers. Mashed adds that those orders can change right up until they reach the depot. So even staff on the floor may not know exactly what the next truck holds.
The weekend effect
The clearest pattern in both reports is about the weekend:
