GameStop Restock Days, Explained
GameStop publishes no restock day; its site lets you see what your own store has in stock, pre-order new releases and buy online for pickup.

Store practices change. This page sums up, in our own words, what GameStop's website and Help Center said on October 26, 2026. The official pages are the ones that apply.
Does GameStop have a restock day?
Not one it publishes. We read GameStop's Help Center, its store locator and its Shop My Store page, and none of them names a day or time when stores receive new stock. We also could not find a recent, reliable outside source that documents a chain-wide GameStop restock schedule, so this page does not give one. Any day you see quoted elsewhere is at best one store's habit.
What GameStop does offer are tools that show stock store by store, which is more useful than a guessed day.
See what your store has: Shop My Store
Shop My Store opens a search of the products tied to the store you choose. When we opened it, the page showed the store's name, address, phone number and open or closed status, a Change Store link, and a list of results with filters for category, platform, condition (new or pre-owned) and delivery method, including ship to home and same day delivery. Checking this page before a trip, or checking it again over a few days, tells you more about your store than any rumored restock day.
Get a new release without hunting: pre-orders
For games and hardware that have not come out yet, GameStop's pre-order help page explains the two routes:

GameStop says that after the 48-hour window an in-store reservation may be sold to other customers, while your deposit stays on your GameStop account. Pre-order bonus items are only while supplies last.
Buy online, pick up in store
GameStop also sells online with pickup at a store. For online pickup pre-orders, GameStop charges you at checkout, eligible cancellations before release or within 30 days after it go back to your original payment, and the order cannot be moved to a different store once placed. You can check status under Account, then Order History.
Practical tips
- Ask the store. Each listing in Find a Store has a phone number. Staff are the only source for when trucks reach that particular store.
- Check more than one store. The locator lists nearby stores together, and Shop My Store lets you switch stores to compare.
- Reserve hot items. For consoles and big releases, a pre-order is the surest way to get one on day one.
