Costco Tire Center Services, Explained
Tires bought at a Costco Tire Center include installation, lifetime rotation, balancing, flat repairs and nitrogen, plus a 5 year road hazard warranty.

Store policies change. This is a summary in our own words of Costco's tire site, its road hazard warranty and its tire FAQ, read on October 27, 2026. The official pages and the Tire Center counter are the ones that apply.
What the installation package includes
Costco says tires bought from a Costco Tire Center are installed at no charge, and the package carries on for the life of the tire. Installation is only for members, and only for tires bought from a Costco Tire Center.

Flat repairs follow USTMA (United States Tire Manufacturers Association) standards. Costco adds that extra parts can cost more, naming TPMS service pack fees, and that the package and warranty are not available for every vehicle or tire.
Buying and booking
You search by vehicle, license plate, tire size or item number, choose tires, and book an installation slot at the Tire Center you pick. Costco ships online tire orders to that Tire Center free of charge. Appointments can be made at CostcoTireAppointments.com or in the warehouse; to change an existing appointment, Costco asks you to call the warehouse. Vehicles built before 2002 need a call or a visit. The Tire Center manager or supervisor makes the final call on whether a tire can go on your vehicle.
The road hazard warranty
The Costco Road Hazard Warranty covers a tire that can no longer be used because of a cut, a puncture that cannot be repaired, or impact damage. It lasts 60 months from purchase, or until the tread is down to 2/32 of an inch, whichever comes first.
To claim it you must be the original buyer, bring the tire and the original receipt to a Costco Tire Center, and sign an adjustment form. You also have to have rotated and balanced the tires and kept them inflated as the vehicle maker sets out. Credit is prorated: Costco multiplies the share of usable tread left by the price you paid after discounts, and applies it toward a new tire. Only the damaged tire is covered, not the others on the car.
Costco excludes damage from vandalism, accidents, commercial use, racing, off-road use, snow chains or studs, rapid or irregular wear, and worn vehicle parts. Tires moved from the vehicle they were first installed on are not covered either. Manufacturer warranties for Michelin, BFGoodrich, Bridgestone, Firestone, Pirelli and others sit on top of this and are linked from Costco's warranty page.
Current offers
Costco's tire site lists $80 off any set of four new Bridgestone tires and $60 off any set of four new Firestone tires from October 19 to November 15, 2026, with the installation package included. Details are at the Tire Center.
