Which Month to Buy TVs, Laptops and Appliances
Big store sales cluster in June, October and late November. Here is a month by month calendar of the 2026 events stores have posted.

When is the cheapest time to buy a TV, a laptop or a washer? No store publishes a month that is always cheapest, but they do post the dates of their big sale events. This page puts the 2026 events we could confirm on the stores' own pages into one calendar, in our own words, read on October 26, 2026. Use it to time a purchase, then compare the actual prices.

TVs
Black Friday is the big date for TVs. Best Buy points shoppers to November 27 for its 2026 Black Friday sale, and its Black Friday page lists televisions among its main categories. Costco's Black Friday page names electronics among its deal categories, and its holiday savings run through November 30. See the Black Friday 2026 dates for closures and price match rules that week.
Laptops
Laptop deals show up in two seasons. Amazon's 2026 Prime Day release lists back-to-school essentials among the savings for June 23 to 26. Best Buy runs a Back to School hub with laptop and computer deals for students. Later in the year, both Amazon's fall event and the Black Friday sales cover electronics again. Appliances
Costco's Black Friday page lists appliances among its deal categories, and its holiday savings page shows offers valid in windows from late October to November 30. Amazon says Prime Big Deal Days covered more than 35 categories, including home. Shop appliances to see current prices.
Price protection helps
Timing matters less if a store will refund a later drop. Target's holiday price match covers purchases from November 1, 2026 if the Target price goes lower on or before December 24. Read what to do when a price drops for other stores' windows.
How to use the calendar
- Watch prices ahead of an event. Amazon's Prime Day release points to the Price History link on product pages, which shows up to 365 days of prices.
- Check member rules. Prime Day and Prime Big Deal Days deals are for Prime members.
- Read deal dates. Costco prints a valid date range on each offer.
- Compare after the event. A sale price is only good if it beats what the item usually costs.
