When Target Has Sales, Week by Week and All Year
Target sale prices run Sunday to Saturday; the big events are Target Circle Week in October and the holiday deals from November 1 to December 24.

The weekly rhythm
Most Target sales follow a one-week cycle:

Ads vary by store, so set your own store in the app or on Target.com/weeklyad. Many grocery and household offers on the promotions page carry their own end date instead of the weekly one.

In 2025 Target Circle 360 members got early access to top Circle Week deals 24 hours before everyone else.
When is Target Black Friday?
For 2026, Target had not published its Black Friday dates on the pages we read on October 26. In 2025, Black Friday deals ran for a full week, from the Sunday before Thanksgiving to the Saturday after. If Target repeats that pattern, expect the deals to start the Sunday before Thanksgiving, but wait for Target's announcement before planning around it.
How to time a purchase
- Buy early in the holiday window. Target's 2026 holiday price match covers purchases from November 1 through December 24: if the Target price drops later in that period, you can ask for the difference. Outside it, the regular window is 14 days.
- Check Sunday. New weekly prices start Sunday, so that is the day to compare.
- Ask for a rain check if a Weekly Ad item is gone. See Target rain checks.
- Use Target Circle. Many deals apply only to members, and the Circle Card adds 5% off. See Target Circle explained.
