When Walmart Has Sales, by Month
Walmart runs Walmart Deals events in summer and October and several Black Friday events in November; Walmart+ members usually get early access.

Sale dates change every year. This is a summary in our own words of Walmart's own press releases about its deals events, read on October 26, 2026. Walmart announces each event a few weeks ahead in its newsroom; the dates below are the ones Walmart published, not a forecast.

"Not found" means we saw no press release for that event in Walmart's newsroom on October 26, 2026. It does not prove the event did not happen.
Summer: Walmart Deals
Walmart Deals is a weeklong event across electronics, fashion, toys, home and back-to-school items. In 2026 it ran June 22 to 28, starting online at 12:01 a.m. ET on June 22 and in stores at 6 a.m. local time, and ending at 11:59 p.m. ET on June 28 online and at closing time in stores. In 2025 it ran July 8 to 13, a few weeks later. If you are waiting for a summer sale, watch for an announcement in early or mid June.
October: the first holiday deals
In 2025 Walmart opened the holiday season with a Walmart Deals event from October 7 to 12, online, in the app and in stores. Walmart stressed that no membership was needed, and it billed savings of up to 50% on tens of thousands of items. Walmart announced that event on September 23, 2025.
November: Black Friday and Cyber Monday
Walmart now spreads Black Friday over several events instead of one day. In 2025 there were three:
- Event 1, November 14 to 16: online and in stores for the whole event.
- Event 2, November 25 to 30: online only from November 25 to 27, then online and in stores from November 28 to 30.
- Cyber Monday, December 1: online only.
Walmart published those dates on October 27, 2025. For 2026, Walmart has said its stores will again be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas, but we found no 2026 Black Friday dates in its newsroom yet.
Spring: Walmart+ Week
Walmart+ Week is a members-only event with extra perks rather than store-wide markdowns. In 2025 it ran April 28 to May 4 with offers such as a fuel discount at Exxon and Mobil and Walmart Cash bonuses.
How Walmart+ changes the timing
Walmart+ members usually shop first. In the 2025 October and Black Friday events they got five hours of early access online, starting at 7 p.m. ET the evening before. In the June 2026 event, members got the first 24 hours on a set of online hot deal drops. Members on a $1 trial or a free Walmart+ Student or Walmart+ Assist trial were excluded from that early access. See Walmart+ benefits and cost.
