Aldi Store Hours and Holiday Closures
Aldi sets hours per store and lists them in its store locator; its stores close on New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Store policies change. This is a summary in our own words of the Store Information pages in Aldi's US Help Center, read on October 26, 2026. Aldi does not publish one national opening and closing time: each store has its own hours, shown in Aldi's store locator, and that listing is the one that applies.
What time does Aldi open and close?
It depends on the store. Aldi's Hours and Locations page says it has more than 2,100 stores in 38 states, and it sends shoppers to the store locator to see each store's hours, along with its services, the payment options it takes and its weekly ad. So the quickest answer to "Aldi hours today" is to open the locator, search your city or ZIP code and pick your store.
We could not read a store listing ourselves (the locator did not load for our reader on October 26, 2026), so this page does not quote opening or closing times. Use the locator rather than any time you see repeated online, since hours differ from store to store.
Holidays when Aldi is closed
Aldi's Hours and Locations page names the days its stores close and the days they run shorter hours:

Aldi does not list the exact limited hours on that page. Check your store in the locator a few days before the holiday, because the shortened schedule is set per store.
Why you cannot just call the store
Aldi's help page on store phone numbers explains that it does not staff stores to answer phones, so that employees can stay on the sales floor and keep costs down. Instead, it points shoppers to its website for store locations and hours, ALDI Finds and answers to common questions. In practice, that makes the online locator the main place to check hours before a trip.
When to go for fresh stock
Hours are not the only timing question. Aldi says fresh produce arrives at its stores every day, and that a new set of ALDI Finds (limited-time items such as specialty foods, home goods, garden supplies and pet accessories) comes out each week. If you are after a particular ALDI Finds item, going soon after the weekly release gives you the widest choice, since those items are sold while supplies last.
New stores
Aldi says it announces new store openings on its website and on its ALDI USA Facebook page, with a Grand Openings page that shows if and when a store is coming to an area. A new store's hours appear in the locator once it is listed.
Tips before you go
- Look up your store in the Aldi store locator for today's hours.
- On Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, recheck the listing for shortened hours.
- Do not plan a trip on New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving or Christmas Day: Aldi says its stores are closed.
