Hobby Lobby coupons follow its Terms of Sale, never apply to Your Price items, and store and online codes may not cross over; weekly sales run up to 50% off.

Store policies change. This is a summary in our own words of Hobby Lobby's Terms of Sale, Weekly Ad and pricing FAQ pages, read on October 26, 2026. The official pages are the ones that apply; check them before you shop.

The coupon rules in the Terms of Sale

Hobby Lobby's Terms of Sale have a short section on promo codes and coupons. In plain terms:

  • Online, you can only use a code or coupon that says it is valid on the website.
  • Coupons from Hobby Lobby stores may not work online, and coupons from the website may not work in stores.
  • A code can be limited by number of uses, quantity, eligible items, location or an expiration date.
  • Hobby Lobby can refuse a code it decides is expired, used on ineligible items, or fake or otherwise invalid.
  • Manufacturer rebates are handled by the manufacturer, not by Hobby Lobby.

Items coupons never touch

The Weekly Ad says no coupons or other discounts can be applied to items marked "Your Price". The ad sales also do not apply to items that are already reduced.

Weekly sales and the 40% off deals

Most Hobby Lobby savings come from category sales in the Weekly Ad rather than from a coupon. The ad we read runs in stores from Monday, October 26 to Saturday, October 31, 2026, and online from Sunday, October 25 to the same Saturday. A few of its lines:

CategoryDiscount off the marked price
Christmas (not candy, food, light sets or tape)50%
Mirrors and lamps50%
Custom frames, frame only50%
Home decor and textiles40%
Floral, frames, party, puzzles and crafts40%
Furniture, all yarn30%
T-shirts (not seasonal or Cricut apparel)20%

Each line has its own exclusions, such as seasonal items or items labeled Gift or Kinkeeping, so read the fine print under the deal. Searches for a "40% off coupon" often lead to these 40% category sales. The official pages we could read on October 26, 2026 did not show a separate single-item coupon, so we do not describe one here.

Competitor ads

In stores, Hobby Lobby will match a competitor's ad that shows a specific price for the exact same item it carries. It does not take competitors' percent-off ads or coupons. Holiday door busters, clearance and closeout items, Cricut, Silhouette, Sizzix and Cuttlebug products, and Simplicity and McCall's patterns are left out. Competitor ads are not honored online.

Rain checks, bulk orders and online prices

  • Rain checks: offered in stores only, for a single sale item. When a whole category is on sale, there is no rain check, and rain checks cannot be issued or used online.
  • Bulk orders: Hobby Lobby says it does not offer volume pricing.
  • Online and in store: prices, stock and promotions can differ between the website and stores, and one is not guaranteed to honor the other.

To hear about sales early, Hobby Lobby points shoppers to its email list and the Weekly Ad page.
