The rules below are as reported by the third-party pages in the sources list, which repost the fine print Kohl's prints on its coupons. Coupon terms change with each promotion, so read the terms on your coupon or confirm with Kohl's before you shop.
Can you stack Kohl's coupons?
Yes, up to a point. The coupon terms reposted by Slickdeals for an October 2026 cardholder event, and the same wording on earlier coupons, set a fixed order:
- Dollar-off coupons first. Coupons worth a set amount, Kohl's Cash included, are taken off before any percent-off coupon on the total purchase.
- One percent-off coupon. A percent-off coupon cannot be combined with another percent-off coupon. The 2026 terms add that this includes age-specific discounts, so a percent-off coupon and the senior discount do not combine.
- The rest of the total. The percent-off coupon then applies to what is left.
Coupons.com and The Military Wallet describe the same pattern: a promo code or a percent discount works together with Kohl's Cash, but not with a second percent discount. If you hold two percent-off codes, the larger one is the one to keep.

What Kohl's coupons exclude
The coupon exclusions reposted by Slickdeals in August 2025 and again in October 2026 use the same list. Coupons are not valid on:
- Price adjustments
- Payments on a Kohl's credit card account
- Taxes, and shipping or handling fees
- Gift cards
- Kohl's Cares cause items and other charitable items
- Sephora at Kohl's
- Any other category or brand marked as coupon ineligible
Which brands can take a coupon depends on the promotion. The terms point shoppers to in-store signs, an associate, or the brand list at Kohls.com/details.
How Kohl's Cash fits in
Kohl's Cash is a dollar-off coupon you earn on one purchase and spend on a later one, inside a set redemption window. Coupons.com describes the usual earn event as 10 dollars of Kohl's Cash for every 50 dollars spent. Because it counts as a dollar-off coupon, it always comes off before your percent-off code, so the percent discount works on a smaller amount.

Tips before you check out
- Apply Kohl's Cash and other dollar-off coupons, then use your largest percent-off code.
- Check the brand list for the promotion before you build a cart around a coupon.
- Gift cards and Sephora at Kohl's items will not lower with a coupon, so ring them up knowing that.
- Watch the redemption dates on Kohl's Cash; an expired coupon has no value.
