Does Kohl's have a military discount? Yes. Kohl's own help pages could not be read for this article (kohls.com showed an access denied page on October 26, 2026), so the details below are as reported by the recent guides in the sources list, which agree on the main terms. Ask at your store's register to confirm before you rely on it.

The Military Wallet, updated October 22, 2026, calls the weekly offer Military Mondays. The Senior List and Coupons.com describe the same 15% in-store discount for service members, veterans and family members.

Who qualifies and what to show

Kohl's announced Military Mondays in April 2019, and the CBS Austin report on the launch named active and former military personnel, veterans and their families as eligible, with a military ID, military dependent ID or veteran ID shown at checkout. The Senior List adds two other forms of proof that work: a state-issued ID showing veteran status, and Form DD 214. The Military Wallet says family members can use the discount when they show the proof of service.

Stacking and exclusions

The military discount is a percent-off discount, so the usual Kohl's rule applies: it does not combine with another percent-off coupon. The Military Wallet says Kohl's Cash still works with it, as long as the cashier takes the Kohl's Cash off first and then applies the 15% to what is left. Kohl's coupon terms, reposted by Slickdeals in October 2026, set that same order, with dollar-off coupons and Kohl's Cash ahead of percent-off coupons. See the Kohl's coupon policy for the full rules.

Not everything qualifies. The Military Wallet lists gift cards, Kohl's Cares items and Sephora at Kohl's among the exclusions, along with premium brands, beauty and fragrance, mattresses and some other categories. Kohl's posts the current list of ineligible brands, so check it before a large purchase.

The Veterans Day event

In past years Kohl's ran a larger in-store discount around Veterans Day. The Military Wallet says it was 30% off in-store purchases over the Veterans Day weekend in previous years. None of the sources we read had announced 2026 dates when this was written, so treat a 2026 event as unconfirmed until Kohl's announces it.

How to use it

  1. Shop on a Monday at a Kohl's store.
  2. Bring your military, dependent or veteran ID, or other proof of service.
  3. Hand over any Kohl's Cash first, then ask for the military discount.
  4. Leave other percent-off coupons for another trip; only one percent discount applies.
