Store policies change. Michaels' own coupon policy page on michaels.com could not be read on October 26, 2026 (the site refused our requests). This summary, in our own words, rests on press releases Michaels published in its own newsroom and, for one older point, a dated news report. Check the coupon policy on michaels.com or ask at the register before you count on any rule here.
Where Michaels coupons come from now
In March 2026 Michaels relaunched its Michaels Rewards program, and member coupons now depend on your tier. Membership has three tiers, each with its own rewards rate and perks.

Michaels describes Everyday Perks as tier-based coupons for regular-priced items that you can use every day. All current members and cardholders were moved into the new program automatically on March 1, 2026. The press release does not say how many items a single Everyday Perk covers in the United States, so read the terms printed on the coupon in the app or at checkout.
Michaels credit card coupons
The same release lists extra benefits for holders of the Michaels credit card: 20% off the first purchase, a 30% discount on items every day, an extra 10% off custom framing, periodic free shipping, special financing offers and no annual spend requirement. Cardholders also get the Birthday and Everyday Perks.
Lower prices that need no coupon
In March 2026 Michaels said it had cut everyday prices on more than 3,000 items, by about 10% on average, across arts and crafts, party, knit and sew, DIY and home decor. A lower shelf price helps even when no coupon applies.
Big sale events
Michaels runs storewide events with their own discounts. For 2025 it announced a ten-day Black Friday event from November 21 to November 30 with up to 70% off storewide, followed by Cyber Week deals on holiday decor from December 1 to December 6. Rewards members got an early preview of upcoming promotions. Dates for 2026 were not published when we checked.
Can you stack Michaels coupons?
We could not confirm the stacking rules. They live on Michaels' coupon policy page, which did not load for us, and the press releases above do not cover them. Each coupon also carries its own terms and exclusions. Ask a cashier, or check the policy page, before you plan to combine a Birthday Perk, an Everyday Perk, a card discount and a sale price on one item.
Does Michaels accept competitor coupons?
Not as of the last report we found. Hip2Save reported in August 2020 that Michaels had stopped accepting competitor coupons, including those from Hobby Lobby and JOANN, starting March 27 of that year. We found no newer source that says the rule changed, but we could not confirm it on Michaels' own page, so ask your store.
