Does Nike have a military discount?

Yes. Nike takes 10% off most items, online and in its US stores.

QuestionAnswer

Who qualifies?Active, reserve, veteran and retired US military, plus spouses and dependents of active personnel
Online?Yes, with a single-use code after verification
In stores?Yes, show a valid military ID at checkout
Not valid atNike Company Stores

Who qualifies

The discount covers active duty, reservist, veteran and retired members of the US military. Spouses and dependents qualify too, but only of active personnel. Nike verifies status through SheerID, a third-party service.

How to use it online

  1. Verify your status. Fill in Nike's verification form. You may be asked to upload a government document that shows your first and last name, your branch of service and your current military status.
  2. Get your code. Nike says most checks finish almost at once and the code appears on screen and by email. A document review can take up to 20 minutes, in which case the code comes by email.
  3. Check out as a Member. Sign in to your Nike Member profile on Nike.com or in the Nike App and enter the code at checkout.

Code rules

  • Each code works once and expires two weeks after it is issued.
  • You can get a new code once every seven days by verifying again.
  • The 10% applies to the first $500 of a qualifying purchase.
  • Shipping and tax are worked out after the discount.
  • The code combines only with free shipping codes.
  • It is not valid on Swoosh.com, Nike By You, gift cards, Apple products or select Launch and SNKRS products.

How to use it in a store

At a Nike store in the US, show a valid military ID when you pay. There is no code to get first. The discount does not apply at Nike Company Stores, and Nike says other in-store restrictions may apply, so ask staff for details.

Other Nike discounts

Nike runs similar 10% programs for other groups, with the same single-use code, two-week expiry and seven-day wait. Unlike the military discount, these work only on Nike.com and in the Nike App, not in stores.
