Lowe's Shipping and Delivery, Explained
Lowe's ships most orders in 1 to 7 business days after processing, free on $25 or more or for MyLowe's Rewards members; bulky items take 7 to 10 business days.

How long delivery takes

Processing depends on which distribution center the item ships from, so Lowe's says the cart gives the most accurate estimate. Weekend orders need at least one business day of processing first. Faster shipping costs extra on some products. Orders with several items may come in separate packages from different locations, with no added shipping cost.
Free shipping
Lowe's says MyLowe's Rewards and MyLowe's Pro Rewards members can get free shipping. Anyone else qualifies with an order of $25 or more before taxes and fees. Either way, the items must weigh under 150 pounds and meet standard size limits, and free shipping covers standard service in the contiguous US only.
Free shipping does not apply to:
- Special Order items, which show a future availability date
- Non-member orders that fall under $25 after canceled items
- Orders with hazardous materials, which carry a $15 handling fee and need an adult signature
- Major appliances that need Lowe's truck delivery
- Items from third-party sellers
Lowe's also says shipping charges are not refundable.
Large, bulky and appliance delivery
Lowe's counts a package as large and bulky if one side is longer than 108 inches, it weighs more than 150 pounds, or its length, width and height add up to more than 165 inches. Those go to the nearest main entrance of your home, without inside delivery and without a signature.
Major appliances come on a Lowe's truck. Lowe's lets you set appliance delivery up to 90 days out so the space is ready for hookup; other orders must be scheduled within 30 days of everything being available. The help page does not list a flat appliance delivery fee: the cost shows at checkout. Installation and haul away can be added to the appliance, and haul-away and dump charges may apply.
Parcels, addresses and limits
FedEx usually leaves parcels at the front entry, out of the weather, and you can set placement through FedEx Delivery Manager. Other carriers such as UPS and USPS also handle shipments.
- Where Lowe's ships: every US address, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, Palau and the US Virgin Islands. Lowes.com does not take international orders.
- US territories: standard three- to seven-day service only.
- APO, FPO and PO boxes: standard service for orders of 70 pounds or less, and PO boxes must also fit USPS size limits.
Special Orders
Special Order items ship to the store first. A store associate contacts you when the order arrives and is ready for pickup or delivery.
