Stores With Free Shipping and Their Minimums
Lowe's ships free from $25, Target and Best Buy from $35, and each drops the minimum for members or cardholders; IKEA needs $35 just to ship.

A free shipping minimum is the order total you need to reach before standard shipping costs nothing. Most stores also offer a way around it, usually a membership or a store card. This page sums up, in our own words, what each store's own shipping page said on October 27, 2026. Shipping terms change often, so check the store's page before you order.

Lowe's
Lowe's says free parcel shipping is available on orders of $25 or more. Its site also advertises free shipping for all MyLowe's Rewards members, excluding Alaska, Hawaii and US territories. Otherwise, rates depend on the shipping method, the service level and the order's weight. Parcel orders take one to seven business days, and large or bulky items, such as those over 150 pounds, take seven to 10 business days. More in the Lowe's shipping guide.
Target
Target ships free on orders of $35 or more, counted on the merchandise subtotal without tax, shipping, gift cards or promotional discounts. Paying with a Target Circle Card or joining Target Circle 360 removes the minimum. Below $35, standard shipping is a flat $5.99 per order. Some items are marked as shipping only with a $35 order, and express shipping costs extra. More in the Target shipping guide.
Best Buy
Best Buy offers free standard shipping on orders of $35 and up, counted after coupons and before taxes. The page says the minimum does not apply to My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total members; one passage on the same page also names free My Best Buy members, so check your cart. Free shipping never covers Marketplace products, and digital downloads, e-gift cards, special orders and scheduled delivery items do not count toward the $35. IKEA, for contrast
IKEA's US delivery page does not list free shipping. Small orders need a merchandise subtotal of at least $35 after discounts to ship at all, with a 50-pound weight cap. IKEA Family members save $5 on qualifying small orders over $35. Larger deliveries are priced by service and distance from the store.
Ways to reach free shipping
- Check what counts. Target leaves out gift cards and discounts; Best Buy leaves out digital items and special orders.
- Look at the store's program: MyLowe's Rewards membership removes the Lowe's minimum.
- Consider store pickup for a small order; see buy online, pick up in store for how it works.
