Walmart Assembly and Installation Services

Store policies change. This is a summary in our own words of the service rules in the Return Policy on Walmart's Policies and Guidelines page, dated October 9, 2026, and a Walmart newsroom story, read on October 26, 2026. Walmart.com, where the services are sold, blocked our requests, so prices and the areas each service covers are not included here. Check the service listing and your booking email before you buy.

What Walmart sells

Walmart's policy names two kinds of add-on services.

So Walmart sells the booking, and an outside provider sends the person who mounts the TV or builds the furniture. Your booking confirmation email names the provider for your job.

Walmart has used the same model for seasonal work. In 2022 Walmart and Angi announced a QR code on Christmas light packaging that let shoppers buy professional light installation from Walmart, powered by Angi.

Refund and cancellation rules

These are the parts most worth reading before you book:

• A Home Services product that has been used or completed cannot be refunded.
• Canceling less than 24 hours before the booked time also means no refund.
• Some Home Services products bought in a store, where the PIN has not been activated, may be returnable in store with a receipt.
• Tech Services products are refundable within 30 days.

How to cancel or report a problem

• Angi bookings: use the review link in the confirmation email, or call Angi's line for Walmart orders at 1-877-600-3455.
• Other Home Services providers: use the contact listed in your booking confirmation email.
• Tech Services: call True Network Solutions at (888) 725-4544 about a completed service.

Installing a major appliance

Walmart's appliance guide asks buyers to plan for assembly and installation before ordering, along with measuring the space, checking voltage, plug and utility needs, and buying hoses, vents or plugs ahead of time. Inspect the appliance when it arrives: you can refuse a damaged delivery free of charge, and returns for damage or defects are allowed within 2 days of delivery. After that, an installed appliance with a problem goes to the seller or the manufacturer warranty, not back to Walmart.

Returning furniture you already built

If you assembled a piece yourself and want to return it, Walmart requires furniture, grills and other items that need assembly to be fully taken apart before they come back to a store. Shipped returns should be repacked securely. Freight and oversized items cannot go back to a store at all. See our Walmart exchange policy page for the return windows.
