Store hours change. This is a summary in our own words of two Lowe's corporate newsroom items, the holiday 2026 press release from October 8 and the Easter 2026 story from March 25, plus the Store Services page on Lowes.com, all read on October 26, 2026. The hours shown for your store on Lowes.com or in the Lowe's app are the ones that apply.
What time does Lowe's open and close?
There is no single answer for every store. The Lowe's holiday 2026 release says the company runs more than 1,750 home improvement stores, and the Lowe's pages we read do not publish one set of opening and closing times for all of them. Hours can differ between a store in a big city and one in a small town, so treat any hours you see quoted elsewhere as a rough guide only.
To find the hours for today:
- Open Lowes.com or the Lowe's app and use Find a Store.
- Search by ZIP code or city and pick your store.
- Read the hours shown for that store. Once you set a store, the site header shows how long it stays open today.
Some services follow the store's hours. Lowe's says Store Pickup is available only during normal store operating hours, and that you should pick up within four days of purchase.
2026 holiday closures Lowe's announced
Lowe's named three days in 2026 when all of its stores close:
| Holiday | Date | What Lowe's said |
|---|---|---|
| Easter Sunday | Sunday, April 5 | All stores closed; reopened April 6 with regular hours |
| Thanksgiving Day | Thursday, November 26 | Stores closed |
| Christmas Day | Friday, December 25 | Stores closed |
Lowe's said 2026 was the seventh year in a row that its stores closed on Easter Sunday. Its holiday release says the Thanksgiving closure is so associates can spend the day with family, and that stores stay closed on Christmas Day too.
For the other holidays, such as Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, the Lowe's pages we read give no special 2026 hours. Check your store page the day before.
Black Friday 2026
Lowe's holiday release says Black Friday Doorbusters open to everyone on November 27, 2026, with MyLowe's Rewards members getting online access one day earlier. It does not give a store opening time for Black Friday, so look at your store page that week.
Shopping when the store is closed
Lowes.com stays open on the days stores close. Lowe's said shoppers could keep shopping online on Easter, and its holiday release points to online-only deals while stores are closed on Thanksgiving.
Tips for a holiday trip
- Check your store's hours on Lowes.com or in the app before you leave, especially around a holiday.
- If you plan to pick up an online order, remember pickup runs only during store hours.
- For services such as tool rental or the Pro desk, ask the store whether they keep the same hours as the main floor.
