Macy's Shipping and Delivery, Explained
Recent guides tie Macy's free shipping to Star Rewards levels, with no minimum for Gold and Platinum cardholders and large items left out.

Macy's own shipping and help pages could not be read when we checked on October 27, 2026: macys.com answered every request with an access denied page. What follows is as reported by four shopping and credit card guides published or updated in 2026, listed at the end. We kept only points that at least two of them agree on, and we say where they differ. Confirm with Macy's, and look at the shipping line at checkout, before you count on free delivery.
Free shipping depends on your Star Rewards level
The guides agree that the order size you need for free standard shipping at Macy's depends on your level in Star Rewards, Macy's loyalty program, and on whether you pay with a Macy's credit card.

Two guides give the Bronze figure as $39; a Rakuten guide from May 2026 lists $25 for Bronze and Silver alike. The guides do not agree on a threshold for shoppers who have not joined at all, so we leave that out. Since Bronze is free, joining before you check out is the simple way to get the reported member threshold.
What free shipping does not cover
The two guides that go into the fine print agree that large items, such as furniture and mattresses, are excluded from the free shipping offer. One describes the offer as standard shipping to one address in the continental United States; the other says orders going outside the contiguous states pay a surcharge. If you live in Alaska or Hawaii, expect to pay something and check the total before you order.
Before you place an order
- Sign in. The member thresholds only apply when Macy's knows your Star Rewards level, so sign in to the account linked to it.
- Pay with the right card. The Silver, Gold and Platinum benefits the guides describe are tied to paying with the Macy's card.
- Read the shipping line. Free shipping is applied, or not, at checkout. If the total shows a shipping charge, look for an excluded item in the cart.
- Big furniture is separate. Plan for delivery charges on furniture and mattresses, whatever your level.
Delivery times
None of the guides we read gives a standard delivery time, so we do not quote one. The estimate Macy's shows at checkout for your address is the one to plan around.
