Sam's Club Military Membership Offer, Explained
Sam's Club has a new-member offer for the military community, verified through ID.me, and $10 in Sam's Cash for military members who renew.

How Sam's Club handles military savings
On the pages we read, Sam's Club's military savings work through membership, not a percentage off at the register: a discounted offer for people joining for the first time, and a Sam's Cash bonus for military members who renew.
The Membership Offers page lists six groups with their own new-member offers: military, teachers, students, government assistance recipients, first responders, and seniors aged 60 or over.

The page does not print the military offer price before you verify. For reference, the standard fees on the Sam's Club join page are $60 a year for Club and $120 a year for Plus, so the offer you see after verifying should be compared against those.
Verifying with ID.me
Sam's Club uses ID.me, an outside identity service, to confirm eligibility. You verify there with the documentation ID.me asks for, then join as a new member through the link you are given. If you cannot verify through ID.me, the terms say the offer is not available.
The renewal bonus: $10 in Sam's Cash
Military members who already belong get a smaller perk when they renew:
- Who: active and retired US military and their spouses.
- What: $10 in Sam's Cash when you renew in a club or online.
- When it arrives: applied to your account automatically within 4 to 6 weeks of renewing.
- The catch: your membership must stay active for 12 months after you receive it, or the Sam's Cash may be taken back.
- Limits: one offer per primary member, offers cannot be combined, and associates are not eligible. The page says this offer runs through January 31, 2027.
Auto renew
Joining through the offer signs you up for automatic renewal. After the first year, Sam's Club charges your preferred payment method the membership price in effect at that time, plus tax, every year until you cancel. To stop it, cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date in your online account, at any club, or by calling 888-746-7726.

- Note the regular renewal price, since the discount is for the first year only.
- If you were a member in the last 6 months, the new-member offer will not apply, but the renewal bonus may.
