Michaels Rewards, Explained
Since March 2026 Michaels Rewards has three tiers by yearly spend, Red, Gold at $300 and Platinum at $1,000, earning 3%, 6% or 9% plus birthday perks.

This summary, in our own words, rests on the press release Michaels published in its own newsroom on March 2, 2026, when it rebuilt the program. Check your Michaels Rewards account or ask at the register for the current terms.
Three tiers since March 2026
Michaels moved existing members and cardholders into the new structure automatically as of March 1, 2026, based on their annual spend.

The release says Red members earn 3% just for joining. It does not say in what form the earnings arrive, how they are redeemed, whether they expire, or which twelve months count as annual spend. Your account shows those details.
Everyday Perks
Gold and Platinum members get tier based coupons on regular priced items: 20% for Gold and 25% for Platinum. Red members do not get them. Birthday Perks
Every member gets a birthday perk, larger with each tier: 30% for Red, 40% for Gold and 50% for Platinum. The release gives the percentages but not what they apply to, so check the offer in your account when it arrives.

Michaels credit cardholders
The release lists these extras for holders of the Michaels credit card:
- No annual spend requirement
- Birthday and Everyday Perks
- 20% off the first purchase
- Free shipping from time to time
- Special financing offers
- A 30% discount on items every day
- An extra 10% off custom framing
The release does not say which tier cardholders are placed in.
How to join
Michaels says you can sign up in a store with a team member or online at michaels.com/rewards. The program covers North America; the release said Canada would get the loyalty program for the first time the following month.
