Sale dates change every week. This is a summary in our own words of Hobby Lobby's Weekly Ad and its pricing FAQ, read on October 27, 2026, plus two deal sites for the yearly pattern, marked as such below. The prices in your store's ad are the ones that apply.

The weekly cycle

Hobby Lobby's own answer to "when is an item going on sale" is short: sign up for its emails or check the Weekly Ad page. The ad works on a weekly rhythm. The one we read was good in stores from Monday, October 26 to Saturday, October 31, 2026, and online from Sunday, October 25 to the same Saturday. Online prices start a day earlier because stores are closed on Sundays.

The ad also notes that some advertised items are not sold online, sales depend on stock, and the ad does not apply to items already reduced.

Everyday discounts off the marked price

Many lines in the ad say "Always" a percentage off the marked price. Hobby Lobby's footnote explains that these discounts are given every day, and that the marked price reflects general U.S. market value for similar products. For those categories, you pay less than the marked price every day. Lines marked "Always" in the October 26 to 31, 2026 ad included:

CategoryDiscount off the marked price
Mirrors and lamps, custom frames (frame only)50%
Home decor, textiles, party, puzzles, boxed model kits, frames, jewelry making40%
Furniture30%
T-shirts20%

The same week also had Christmas categories at 50% off, Christmas light sets at 25% off, all yarn at 30% off, and fall decor, party, floral and crafts at 50% off. No coupons or other discounts apply to items labeled "Your Price", and each line has its own exclusions, such as the Seasonal Department.

Rain checks and online prices

  • Rain checks are given in stores when a specific item is on sale, not when a whole group of items is on sale, and never online.
  • Prices, products and promotions in stores can differ from hobbylobby.com, and neither is guaranteed to honor the other.

The yearly pattern, as deal sites report it

Hobby Lobby does not publish a yearly sale calendar, so this part comes from two deal sites, The Krazy Coupon Lady (updated January 7, 2026) and GrabOn (edited September 29, 2026). Both say:

  • A new Weekly Ad comes out every Sunday.
  • Home decor categories rotate to 50% off every other week.
  • Christmas decor drops to 90% off on January 2 in the final clearance.

These are reported patterns, not Hobby Lobby policy, and dates vary by store. Confirm in your store's ad before you plan a trip around them.

Tips for timing a purchase

  1. Check the ad on Sunday. It goes live online that day, before stores reopen on Monday.
  2. Do not pay the marked price for a category the ad lists at an everyday discount.
  3. If an item misses this week's sale, check again next week before you buy; categories rotate.
  4. Use the right coupon. Our Hobby Lobby coupon guide explains what can be combined.
